We’ve released an update to the macOS version of OneCast with the following changes:
- Xbox Party Chat is now supported, including microphone echo cancellation to prevent intolerable echoing when using party chat without a headset
- Added the ability to connect to your Xbox over the internet, making possible to play while away from home
- Added a highly configurable Virtual Controller mode where you can control your Xbox using a mouse and keyboard (functionality is similar to that offered by the famous XIM and Cronus Zen products, but without requiring expensive additional hardware)
- OneCast is now built for Apple Silicon (no more need to run through Rosetta)
- Fixed an issue where games could get stuck when entering text
- Consolidated all configuration items into a new Settings dialog
- Reduced audio latency
- Many other miscellaneous bug fixes and stability improvements
The new build can be obtained either via in-app update or from the download page. We’ll be working on updating the iOS and Apple TV versions over the coming days to bring them up to feature parity with this release, stay tuned for further details!
